MSU Shadows Creates Employee Memorial

There are few mediums more attractive than wood. The dozens, sometimes hundreds, of years that nature takes to create the lumber, adds to the unique characteristics craftsmen take advantage of when creating a functional piece. It is this same uniqueness can be harnessed into a gorgeous piece of art. MSU Shadows has created a fantastic piece of art displayed in the Residential Housing Department.

This gorgeous piece of art uses wood from campus trees to create this beautiful tribute to Michigan State University staff members. The wood used came from a tree grown on-campus that then was milled and dried at MSU. You can read about this showpiece and vote for it in the Wood-Mizer Personal Best Contest.
